Dear Friend,

WINGS recently launched the Many Voices Project, assessing the needs of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse within communities of color in Colorado.

If you meet the below criteria for our Survivor Survey or Provider Survey, we would love to hear from you!

The Many Voices Project has 2 online components:

1) Adult Survivors of Color Survey - in English and Spanish

Our Survivor Survey seeks to hear directly from Adult Survivors who are:

• Over the age of 18

• Live in the state of Colorado

• Are a person of color

• Are an adult now and experienced sexual abuse during childhood (below the age of 18)

Communities of Color May Include Survivors Who Are:

Asian American / Native Hawaiian / Pacific Islander

Black or African American

Hispanic or Latinx

Native American or Alaskan Native

Multiracial or Biracial

A race or ethnicity not listed here who identify as People of Color

Learn more about the Survivor Survey in English or Spanish with links to participate.

Dates to Participate: February 16 - March 16

*Please note: The survey does not ask in-depth questions about a person’s history of childhood sexual abuse; rather, questions are more geared around support you may have received as an adult and how you might wish to address this issue. Still, exploring this topic can bring up feelings and emotions that can be distressing. A resource list is provided if survivors may need additional support. A crisis line is provided if anyone becomes triggered and needs that resource. If you wish to have a facilitator support you in taking the survey online, there is a way to request that option. Those who meet eligibility requirements and submit the survey receive a $40 gift card (until limit is reached).

2) Provider Survey - For Organizations, Agencies and Professionals Serving Adult Clients (age 18 and over) & Children's Advocacy Centers

Our Provider Survey seeks to hear from Providers/Professionals in the following categories:

Community based organizations

Culturally specific organizations

Sexual Assault / Domestic Violence centers

Children Advocacy Centers (regarding parents, specifically)

Mental Health / Behavioral Health

Healthcare / Medical Health

Substance Abuse centers

Eating Disorder centers

Private Counselors/Therapists

Public Health agencies

Other agencies serving adult clients (anyone over the age of 18)

You can learn more about the Provider Survey and access the survey link here.

Dates to Participate: February 16 - March 16

Help promote the Survivor Survey, too!  If you are a provider who wants to promote the assessment to survivors of color in your area with whom you are in contact, please feel free to do so here in English and Spanish.

What if I'm not in Colorado?

While this effort is to explore these issues at the state level in Colorado, we plan to share information with all stakeholders who are interested. To learn more about assessment results once they are made public, or for other questions, please email: ManyVoicesProject@wingsfound.org.
